Eyes wide open? Growing your trust with thorough due diligence

Eyes wide open? Growing your trust with thorough due diligence

The inside track on how good due diligence can minimise the pain of growing your trust.

Perfect for: CFO’s, COO’s, CEO’s

About this event

With the rise in academy conversions and the amount of trusts growing at a rapid rate, getting the inside track on what good due diligence looks like is essential.

Done properly, due diligence enables a fully informed decision about whether to come together as a new academy trust or in the case of an existing trust whether to transfer the school into that trust.

We liken it to buying a house – would you want to know everything to have your eyes wide open even if that meant uncovering risks or are you happy to take a ‘face value’ approach?

In this session we will be discussing:

  • What purpose does due diligence serve?
  • What is reverse due diligence and why is it important?
  • What are the options when it comes to due diligence and DfE guidance and who should do your due diligence?
  • What are the dangers of not doing thorough due diligence from our experience?
  • What areas should you be considering in a good due diligence package
  • Good reporting
  • How do you use your due diligence?
